And last year’s Dual Enrollment Superstar Teachers are . . .


The Dual Enrollment program Superstar Teacher Award recognizes high school teachers who have demonstrated excellence in teaching the MCC curriculum. These teachers were nominated by MCC faculty for bringing something distinctive to the classroom and inspiring others.

Our 2015 Superstar Teacher Award Recipients:

Nominated by Adjunct Instructor Michael Martella, Jeanine Lent from Irondequoit High School is a skilled facilitator in helping students engage with college level discussions and activities, as well as helping students understand the difference between high school and college level rigor/expectations.

Nominated by Assistant Professor Jasna Bogdanovska, Valerie Savage from Wheatland Chili High School is innovative, engaging and a motivational instructor.

Nominated by Lecturer Patrick Bolton, William Rakonczay from Orleans-Niagara BOCES applied, is implementing a NASA program within the curriculum. His students are producing parts for the International Space Station.

Nominated by Coordinator Bob Lasch, Leonard Hall from Monroe 2-Orleans BOCES developed and runs summer manufacturing camps for high school students; engages with sumo robotics and contributes to the manufacturing field outside of teaching.

Nominated by Adjunct Instructor Michael Martella, Patricia Crisman from Fairport High School focused on developing college level preparedness while being an excellent content instructor.
