Take Action with the "It's On Us" Campaign - Know Your Reporting Options

"It's On Us" is a cultural movement aimed at fundamentally shifting the way we think about sexual assault. The "It's On Us" fall week of action is October 22 - 28, 2017. Each day this week information and ideas have been shared about what members of the MCC community can do educate, engage, and empower one another to end sexual assault.

KNOW YOUR REPORTING OPTIONS

You have the right to make a report to MCC Public Safety, local law enforcement, and/or the State Police or choose not to report; to report the incident to MCC; to be protected by MCC from retaliation for reporting an incident; and to receive assistance and resources from your college.

The SUNY Sexual Assault & Violence Response (SUNY SAVR) Resources website provides you with information you can use to seek resources and support, and to report the crime to law enforcement and the College. The SAVR website contains links to MCC's Title IX Policies for Individuals Reporting Sexual Harassment and Misconduct and MCC's Anonymous Reporting website. You may access contact information for on- and off-campus resources, including MCC's Title IX Coordinator (Kristin Lowe), MCC Public Safety, Health Services, and Counseling Services. You may also search for resources by zip code, and a dropdown menu allows you to easily access information about resources available at any one of SUNY's 64 campuses.

For information about MCC reporting options (including confidential reporting options) and on- and off-campus resources in a one-page handout, please open the attachment below.
