Monroe Community College Foundation President Brenda Babitz partnered with MCC Foundation Director and Alumni Hall of Fame member Kathleen Pavelka to present "Building Your Annual Fund and Increasing Alumni Participation" as part of the CASE Online Speaker Series on June 22. About 200 people nationwide participated in the presentation via phone and Internet.
The presentation was designed to help participants, especially those representing community colleges, establish their annual fund as the cornerstone of their development program. The importance of identifying potential donors, developing annual appeals and donor stewardship were covered.
Pavelka is the president of Telecomp, Inc. who provides outreach programs for leading colleges, hospitals, and other nonprofit organizations generating millions in annual and capital campaign funds.
