The National Coalition of Advanced Technology Centers to visit MCC.

MCC will be hosting consultants from the National Coalition of Advanced Technology Centers (NCATC) May 14-16. The Economic and Workforce Development division has engaged NCATC to assist in the pre-design stage for the development of the Finger Lakes Workforce Development Center (FWD Center) located at Eastman Business Park (EBP). NCATC partners will spend much of their time interviewing and touring EBP tenant operations and other area employer sites, meeting with internal MCC faculty and staff, secondary education partners and local project stakeholders.

NCATC is an AACC affiliate that represent a national network comprising over 180 community colleges that operate robust advanced and applied technology centers as part of their institutional programming. The purpose of their visit is to provide guidance and best practices involving assessment of current programming, effective operational models, and the latest thinking regarding how to adapt technician-based curricula to better prepare workers for the smart manufacturing workplace.
