WROC-TV Reporter Katrina Irwin included an interview with MCC Career Center Director G. Christopher Belle-Isle in a news segment entitled "Starting Salaries on the Rise." The segment aired on April 20. Belle-Isle and representatives from the University of Rochester and Rochester Institute of Technology were asked to respond to the recently published report from the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) that shows average salary offers to new college graduates are climbing at a steady pace.
While the NACE survey focuses on graduates with bachelor's degrees, Belle-Isle used information provided by MCC's Institutional Research Office to show how graduates from associate degree programs are also experiencing comparable growth. MCC is a member of NACE and its representatives continue to advocate for community college graduates to be included in the future salary surveys.
