Assistant Professor Matt Fox, Transitional Studies and member of the Sixth Act, presented a dramatic monologue during the closing ceremony of MCC's 17th annual Yom Hashoah Commemoration on Tuesday. The monologue was based on the writings of Bernard Schuster, a local Holocaust Survivor who passed away in July 2000. Mr. Schuster co-chaired MCC's Auschwitz exhibit in the late 1990s and actively supported MCC's Holocaust Genocide Studies Project.
Mr. Schuster's wife, Jane, also spoke at the event and reflected upon her husband's involvement with MCC.
The day-long commemoration in the Flynn Campus Center and the closing ceremony were hosted by the Holocaust Genocide Studies Project. Project members thank Matt Fox for his involvement.
