Squires Presents at St. Louis's Vincentennial

Rick Squires, associate professor/collection development librarian, was recently an invited guest to St. Louis's VINCENTENNIAL: a Celebration of Vincent Price's 100th Birthday, sponsored by Cinema St. Louis. Rick conducted a talk/tour at the Sheldon Galleries for the Legacy of Vincent Price Exhibit which featured many items from his extensive collection including movie posters, rare theater programs and Price family memorabilia.

For the accompanying film festival, RIck introduced Tim Burton's "Vincent, the Last Man on Earth" (1964) and Price's personal favorite horror film, "Theater of Blood" (1973). In addition to conducting some lively Q&A sessions following each film, Rick was also a guest at two interviews with legendary director Roger Corman. Corman was awarded a lifetime achievement award by Cinema St. Louis. (Photo: Rick Squires and Roger Corman)
