Hospitality Gets Media Attention

MCC's Hospitality Department was in the news twice recently!
On Friday, Feb. 4, the Rochester Business Journal ran a special section that featured Reflections restaurant and focused on the hospitality program. The section started with a full-page color photo of MCC Instructor Drew Lawrence working with a student and continued inside with an extensive article and a photo of Diane Cheasty . Her closing quote: “What our hope always is, as a Monroe County institution, is that we train people to stay here and meet the needs here.”

The Brighton-Pittsford Post on Jan. 26 ran a front page story on how cooking and travel shows are motivating students to get into those careers. Diane notes that it's fun watching "Emeril Live" and the Travel Channel - so people want to do it themselves.

Many thanks go to Diane and her team for putting all their effort into these two media opportunities and for accommodating the last-minute photography arrangement.
