MCC is once again participating in the national Enough is Enough Campaign. The campaign’s goal is to provide model strategies for broad-based interventions addressing youth violence on campuses. This year, the campaign will be held April 3-7th. We have several programs throughout the week but we are especially excited to bring Mentors in Violence Prevention (MVP) Strategies co-founder and leading international violence prevention educator, Dr. Jackson Katz to MCC on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. MCC has been working with Dr. Katz since 2008, offering MVP certification trainings, co- and extra-curricular programming and more through our Mentors in Violence Prevention at MCC (MVP-MCC) program. Please save the date!
Dr. Jackson Katz is an international violence prevention educator, author, filmmaker and cultural theorist. RESOLVE and the Sociology Film Series is hosting a screening of "Tough Guise 2: Violence, Manhood and American Culture" and a talk-back with Dr. Katz following the film. Don’t miss this exciting opportunity!
