We’re Career Services!

The Office of Career Services (3-108), formerly known as the Career and Transfer Center, is committed to assisting students in determining their career path and successfully accomplishing their employment goals.  Transfer services have moved to the Advisement/Graduation Services office in 1-231 as of December 2016.

In Career Services, students can see a career counselor for career exploration and assessment, resume and comprehensive job search strategies including cover letter building/critique, interviewing skills and mock interviews.  In addition, we also oversee the Disney College Program and EBL 101, both of which offer students the opportunity to gain real world experience while earning college credit. We can  provide guidance for students required to complete a co-op as part of their academic program.

Located within our office is the Career Library, home to a wealth of resources on careers, employment trends, the job search process, and career assessment, among others.  Computer stations are also available for students to work on their resume or do online career research.

Career Services provides services to faculty by providing presentations on any of these topics to your classroom. If you are interested in this, please call or email Sherry Sweet at 292-2368 or <mailto:ssweet@monroecc.edu>  for more information or to fill out a classroom presentation request form.

We’re excited to let everyone know about our renewed focus and invite you to contact us any time.
