What are you doing this fall? Apply to serve as a Rochester AmeriCorps member!

We are recruiting folks interested in in social justice, educational equity and supporting the social and emotional needs of students in the Rochester City School District. Members serve the Rochester community full-time from September 5, 2018 through August 11, 2019 serving in elementary and secondary schools in the Rochester City School District.

Benefits of service include:

  • Bi-weekly living allowance of $560 (estimated, pre-tax)
  • Education award of $5,920 (upon successful program completion)
  • Student loan forbearance (on qualified, federally backed student loans)
  • Individual health insurance (at no cost to participant)
  • Child care subsidy for legal dependents 12 and under
  • SNAP benefits - Rochester AmeriCorps living allowance does not count when determining SNAP eligibility
  • Specialized training and ongoing professional development and networking opportunities
