Safe Zone Training I & II - Registration is Still Open

There are still spots available for both Safe Zone Training sessions on June 12th & 13th:

Safe Zone I: The first training will be an introduction to understanding LGBTQ identities, the meaning and importance of campus "safe zones," and what it means to be an ally to LGBTQ students and colleagues. After participating in this training, you will be provided with a Safe Zone sticker which will identify you as a campus ally.

Safe Zone I will be offered on June 12th, 9-12 in the Forum.

Safe Zone II: The second training will be an opportunity for individuals who have previously participated in Safe Zone training to come together to further explore issues impacting members of our LGBTQ community and to discuss ways to enhance our campus climate for LGBTQ students and employees. A reading packet will be provided to participants prior to this training. Please do not sign up for this training unless you have already completed (or plan to complete) the original Safe Zone training.

Safe Zone II will be offered on June 13th, 9-12 in the Empire Room.

Both training sessions will be facilitated by Bethany Gizzi and are sponsored by the Anthropology/History/Political Science/Sociology department and the School of Social Sciences and Global Studies.

To register, please contact Bethany Gizzi at bgizzi@monroecc.edu. Registration will be limited to 30 people per session.
