Celebrating Our Downtown Campus at All College Days

Welcome to Fall 2017!

This year, we are holding our All College Day celebration at the new Downtown Campus. If you haven't yet had a chance to visit the campus, I hope you will join us as MCC begins the new year in an inspiring new home that was over two decades in the making.

This campus was designed for our students, to live up to their hopes and dreams and aspirations, and since late June, they've been exploring every inch and coming back with rave reviews. In fact, earlier this week, one of our student leaders told me he had recruited several family members to begin classes just by taking them on a tour. From the green roofs to the Science wing, from the Collaboratories to the high tech classrooms, from the Learning Commons to the event space, from the Corporate College on the 7th floor to the 321 Café on the first--the new Downtown Campus is designed to promote student engagement, learning, and success from the ground up. Whether students are in active learning in the Loss Prevention or Early Childhood labs or are working on projects in one of the study rooms, they are in an environment that welcomes them to expect more: of MCC, themselves, and their futures.

My sincere gratitude goes to the hundreds of individuals inside and outside of MCC who have made this campus a reality. The new Downtown Campus and the accomplishments of our students will stand for decades to come as a tribute to their outstanding work in front of and behind the scenes.

I look forward to seeing you today as we celebrate both our new campus and the amazing potential of the year ahead.
