Starfish News: Faculty Training to Use the Starfish Calendar for Student Advising
Because faculty are important success catalysts in students' lives, it gives me great pleasure to announce that faculty can now use the Starfish calendar to better organize advising time. Come to one of the following trainings to learn how set up your Starfish calendar so that you can begin making advising appointments. Secretaries, School Specialists, and students will also be able to use this new exciting feature. School Specialists and Professional Advisors have reported fewer no shows due to the confirmation and reminder emails the system generates.
In this training, you will learn:
- How to set up your Starfish calendar to accept appointments;
- How to sync the Starfish calendar with your Outlook calendar;
- What staff (Calendar Managers) will be able to schedule students on your Starfish calendar;
- What is visible on your calendar to students and Calendar Managers in Starfish and what isn't;
- How to use "Outcomes" in Starfish to document meeting notes for future reference.
Training dates:
10/17, 3:00-4:00 pm, Brighton Virtual Campus Training Room, 3-150
10/18, 9:00-10:00 am, Brighton Virtual Campus Training Room, 3-150
