Veiwing of the film Keepers of the Game

The Indigenous Peoples' Initiative cordially invites you to a viewing of the film Keepers of the Game, featuring a Mohawk student who currently plays on the 7-time National Champions women's lacrosse team at Monroe Community College.

Lacrosse was born in Akwesane Mohawk Territory as a sacred game, traditionally reserved for men. Members of an all-Native girl's lacrosse team try to prove the game is their rightful inheritance, putting more than just a championship on the line.

After the film viewing the MCC Mohawk lacrosse student will answer questions.

The event is on Thursday April 26 in the PRISM Multicultural Center 1-108 at 6:00PM. Refreshments will be offered.
