Wednesday, April 5th:

8:00am -5:00pm: Brick Wall of Violence (Main dining/ Terrace) - Take a moment to tell your story of how you or someone you know has been effected by violence.

8:00am-5:00pm: Violence through ART with AAD 260 (Campus Center Atrium) – Commercial Art II students created a poster series of illustrations to educate people about acts of violence.  MEET THE ARTISTS on 4/6 from 11:00 am – 12:15 pm

8:00am-5:00pm: Shoes of the Victims/13 Stories of Domestic Violence (Terrace) – Take time to reflect as you interact with this display of shoes with corresponding stories of women who have been murdered on college campuses around the county.

8:00am – 5:00pm:  Offensive Clothing Display (Outside GYM Lobby) – See a display of real pieces of clothing that were sold in retail stores and on the interested.  Are you offended?  Tell us your opinion.

8:00am – 5:00pm:  Mailboxes of Hope (Library)-RESTORE Sexual Assault Services invited students to write encouraging messages of hope to individuals affected by sexual violence.  View these messages on display.

9:00am-5:00pm: Flag Display from RESTORE sexual Assault Services (South Courtyard, near buildings 7 & 11)-The Psychology club and RESTORE set up 720 flags representing the numbers of people assaulted each day in the U.S. 

10:00am – 3:00pm: Boost Your Ego: Empowering Others Through Sense of Style, Safety and Self (Terrace) – Students of Shear Ego International School of Hair Design will do make-overs, haircuts, make-up tips, and mini manicures.  This isn’t an event you want to miss!

12:00pm – 1:00pm: Jordan Health- A Rochester based agency will be here to hand out information on healthy and unhealthy relationships.  

12:00pm-2:00pm: Jeopardy by RESTORE Sexual Assault Services (North Atrium)-Learn facts about sexual assault, affirmative consent, and more in a game of jeopardy.

7:00pm:  Showing of Tough Guise 2 WITH JACKSON KATZ (The Theatre)- Free for the first 200 MCC students with student ID!!  Mentors in Violence Prevention (MVP) co-founder, Dr. Jackson Katz, is an international violence prevention educator, author, filmmaker and cultural theorist. Join RESOLVE of Greater Rochester and MCP-MCC for a screening of the film, Tough Guise 2 and a discussion with Jackson Katz after the film!
