Potential Phone System Disruption on the Morning of Friday January 12th
On Friday morning beginning at 7:00am Communications and Network Services will be performing work to migrate our campus phone service to a new provider. This requires the campus phone numbers to be handed off from the previous provider, and at the same time advertised by the new provider.
As the phone companies transition our numbers over there is a potential for inbound calls to be disrupted for a short time. Numbers will transition in groups, so some may be unavailable from the outside while others are continuing to operate normally during the transfer. There should be no disruption in our ability to place calls internally, or to off campus at any time during this process.
We anticipate the transition will be completed prior to the 8:45 start of business hours for the college. If you have any questions or concerns please contact James Clement at jclement@monroecc.edu or x3291.
