Advising Professional Development Available Online

Academic Services and Advisement and Transfer Services are happy to announce that multiple advising resources are available online. We know how difficult it is to fit advising training into your schedules, so we partnered with Instructional Services and relied on the willingness of multiple faculty and staff to create eight ADV workshops online in Blackboard. They include Introduction to Advising, Introduction to Financial Aid, and Advising International Students, among others. You can take these workshops on your schedule and you will receive a certificate of completion.

Additionally more than 12 short videos related to advisement have also been created to assist you in your advising work related to special topics including how to advise honors students, how to read the Math advising flow chart, and the points system for competitive health programs, plus many others.

We have many more full ADV workshops and videos planned, but if there is something specific you would like to see, please let Holly Wheeler know at hwheeler@monroecc.edu.
