Are you ready to Couch to 5K?


The MCC Foundation Homecoming 5K Planning Committee and the MCC Wellness Council are proud to join forces to offer a Couch to 5K Program to MCC faculty and staff.  This beginner program will take you through a ten-week progression to train you to run a 5K.

Please join Mary Jo Toepfer, Yolanda Johnson and Courtney Sprague on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 1-2 pm in the MCC PAC Center Indoor Track.  We will start on April 3, 2017, and conclude on June 9, 2017.  We will meet in the PAC Center lobby at 1:10 pm and head down to the track to run. 

Please email Courtney Sprague at <mailto:csprague5@monroecc.edu> if you would like to participate so that she may share with you information on proper attire, stretching, hydration and provide the 5K plan.

Not sure if you’re ready to run?  Watch for details on the Wellness Council’s National Walking Day event April 5th, 2017 to find out more about the Couch to 5k program and learn about the walking trails on the Brighton Campus.

Just looking for an opportunity to walk, The MCC United Way Campaign is hosting two indoor walks to get your blood pumping for a cause. Try out one of the indoor walking paths on March 24th and April 7th from 3:45 – 4:45pm.   Watch the Trib for more details!
