I regret to inform you that Ruth B. Kane, retired payroll supervisor, passed away Saturday, April 5.
Ruth came to MCC in 1966 as a Clerk Grade II and was promoted to Payroll Supervisor in 1977. After 21 years of service, she retired in 1987. She had previously worked for the Rochester City School District Board of Education.
Interment is scheduled for Wednesday, 11 am at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery (please meet at the Dewey Ave. gate).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Monica's Church, 841 Genesee St., Rochester NY 14611.
Ruth is predeceased by her husband, George W., daughter Kevan Lewandowski and granddaughter Kristen Kane. She is survived by children, Gregory Kane (Nancy Heuer) of Avon/Caledonia, son-in-law, Anthony L. Lewandowski (JoAnn Smathers), Pamela K. (C. Andrew) Cudahy, and John P. (Kimberly) Kane; grandchildren, Charles (Laurel) Kane, Kimberly (Jeff) Giunta, Shannon (Michael) Tomkosky, Anthony W. (Becky) Lewandowski, Shane, Devin, Meghan, Kelsey Cudahy, Patrick, Carrie, Nicholas, Emily Kane; 12 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and many friends.
