The Chronicle's Great Colleges to Work For 2011

Monroe Community College is participating in the 2011 Great Colleges to Work For program sponsored by The Chronicle of Higher Education.  Now in its fourth year, the Great Colleges program recognizes institutions that have created exceptional work environments.

The program is modeled after Fortune magazine’s Best Places to Work issue, with one key difference: institutions are not ranked.  In addition to the opportunity for national recognition, we will benefit from the program’s national benchmark data.  I consider this to be an important endeavor and respectfully ask for your participation.

This is a confidential survey that measures the strength of certain organizational competencies and relationships that most directly impact and influence an institution’s culture.  The survey will be distributed to a random sample of full-time Faculty, adjunct Faculty, Administrators and Exempt Professional Staff.  Your participation and honest feedback are critical to the assessment process.

To ensure the confidentiality and anonymity of your responses, the survey will be processed by ModernThink LLC, a research and consulting firm focusing on workplace excellence.  ModernThink will manage all aspects of the survey process and ultimately perform the analysis that will determine which institutions will be recognized.  Our institution will not be given any information that would enable us to trace survey data back to any one individual.

Things you should know:
-- The survey takes approximately 20 minutes to complete.
-- Your participation is entirely voluntary.
-- We will receive a summary report of our survey results.
-- Watch your inbox during the week of March 21 for instructions on how to access the survey.  This communication will come from ModernThink.

If you receive the invitation, please take a moment to complete the survey.  You will be representing not only yourself, but all of your colleagues.

We encourage everyone’s participation!  A high response rate helps ensure accurate results and demonstrates the commitment of our workforce.  Please join me in our continued efforts to make Monroe Community College a great place to work!
