The Community Center for Teaching Excellence (CCTE) is accepting applications for the 2013 Faculty Fellows Program for K-20 Educators. The Faculty Fellows Program is a unique professional development program designed to engage a vibrant learning community of experienced educators who work together to focus energy and expertise on understanding, developing, and implementing teaching practices that enhance student engagement and academic success.
The program is open to educators from Rochester City School District, Rush-Henrietta Central School District, MCC, SUNY Brockport, SUNY Geneseo, and St. John Fisher College. We are seeking applications for two Fellows groups: S.T.E.M. Fellows and Liberal Arts Fellows.
• S.T.E.M. Fellows: Open to full-time college faculty who teach entry level science, math, or technology courses, and middle or high school science, math or technology teachers.
• Liberal Arts Fellows: Open to middle or high school teachers and full-time college faculty teaching entry level liberal arts courses in English, foreign languages, history, social sciences, or the arts.
MCC Faculty participants will receive $2,000 in release time ($1,000 for Spring 2013 and $1,000 for Fall 2013).
The application deadline is Friday, December 7, 2012. Notification of acceptance will be made during the week of January 14, 2013. The program begins with the All Fellows Kick-Off Luncheon & Afternoon Session on Tuesday, February 26, 2013.
