SCI 132  Students Bring Science to Life with World of Inquiry First Graders

Professor Rich Stevens and his SCI 132 students traveled to the World of Inquiry:  School 58 on Friday April 8, 2011 to explore living creatures with first graders.  The first graders are studying if crawlies are really creepy as their science unit.  MCC students introduced the first graders to a poisonous frog, a snake, a variety of bugs, and taught the children how to use a microscope.  This service learning project was a success for all involved.  As first grader, Jalen, said, “I love when MCC Buddies come here!  I always learn so much and it’s fun!”  Congratulations to Professor Stevens and his students!
