Earth Day Exhibition


Refuse: Artists that work in collage, assemblage, montage, or frottage, or a combination of refuse, discards, salvage parts, tools, any material considered trash that is intercepted before ending up in landfills, or on the side of the road.

Sponsored by the Monroe Community College Sustainability Steering Committee.  Members of this committee and the Mercer Gallery have organized this event to shed light on

the resourcefulness of some artists that work with refuse, lost, found, salvage materials.  This is a Mercer Gallery internal combustion event; internal combustion is an open-ended vehicle for

traditional and non-traditional forms of expressions, often running concurrently with scheduled Mercer Gallery events. All internal combustion events are free to the public.
