Please make your students aware of the YMCA of Greater Rochester Enhancement of Diversity Scholarship.
The purpose of our program is to provide financial assistance and quality work experience to college students who can contribute to the diversity of our organization and who are potential candidates for professional employment with the YMCA. The student must have a strong interest in YMCA involvement and postgraduate career interest in the YMCA.
Eligibility:
¨ Be a member of a recognized protected class*.
¨ Be a full-time or part-time matriculated student at an accredited college or university with a minimum of one semester completed.
¨ Have a strong interest in YMCA involvement and post graduate career opportunities with the YMCA.
¨ Intern at least half-time (16-20 hours per week) at the YMCA during the school year and full-time during the summer.
Award: Annual award will range from $1,000 to 3,000.
