ITC Audioconference - A Collaborative Approach to Online Student Support Services

MCC will host the Instructional Technology Council’s professional development audioconference entitled, “A Collaborative Approach to Online Student Support Services,” on Tuesday, January 15 from 2:00-3:00pm in room 3-115. The presenter is: Ronda Edwards, Director of Academic Programs, Michigan Community College Association Virtual Learning Collaborative.

Current research indicates that support services are critical to the success of online learners. Providing those services in a consistent and persistent manner is essential. The Michigan Community College Association Virtual Learning Collaborative (MCCAVLC) received a FIPSE grant to support collaborative development of online high-quality learning support services. Many of these services have been developed as shareable learning objects and stored in a common repository. Participants will learn about the statewide collaborative development process involved in completing the project and see how the common shareable learning objects are used by Michigan community colleges.
