Yards for Yeardley Even- April 19th

On April 19 from 11-3pm MCC will be collaborating with the One Love Foundation and several other SUNY institutions to participate in the Around the World for Yeardley event. Founded in 2010 to honor Yeardley Love, One Love works to ensure everyone understands the difference between a healthy and unhealthy relationship. Our goal is to walk 2 million yards in support of the One Love Foundation.
We are challenging each department on campus to track their "yards" from April 1 to April 19th in support of the Around the World event. You can record your daily steps, cardio workout, walk around the PAC track, walks etc using the attached sheet and it will all count towards our goal of 2 million yards
Our event culminates on April 19th as we invite everyone on campus to join us in walking around our Around the World for Yeardley course which will start in the atrium and take you around the PAC Field House track (we moved the event inside due to weather). Can't make it to the course? We will have stations all around campus where you can log your yards that day. Prizes will also be given out throughout the day!
The MCC Softball team will also be playing against Rochester area rival Genesee Community College at 1pm at the softball field. Both team will wear t-shirts during warm-ups of the game - get your steps in and come support the softball team!

You can submit your final sheet to the following committee members and we'll announce the winner after April 19.

Aaron Bouyea (Athletics) - abouyea@monroecc.edu

Conversion chart:
1.2 steps = 1 Yard
PAC Track (1 loop) = 228 yards
1 Mile = 1,760 Yards
