The American Association for Women in Community Colleges (AAWCC) Service Committee is excited to announce our 10th annual book drive from May 9th - June 22nd. AAWCC is committed to aiding our community and fostering educational initiatives for women and children.
This year, we will be supporting the Healthy Hero Summer Camp.
The primary goal of the camp is to focus on activities and knowledge to develop healthy weight children who are active and engaged. However, a corollary goal that has been adopted since the camp has become a full day is to reduce summer learning loss. The campers have math and literacy classes daily so the addition of books will be greatly appreciated!
Your donation of new or used books (for 1st – 6th grade) or a monetary gift to purchase books will help reduce summer learning loss and be used in a lending library for all campers at the Healthy Hero Summer Camp.
