ITC Audioconference - Offering Tutoring Services to Online Students

MCC will host the Instructional Technology Council’s professional development audioconference entitled, “Offering Tutoring Services to Online Students” on Tuesday, March 24 from 2:00-3:00PM in room 3-115. The presenter is Delisa Clampitt, Learning Center Coordinator, Montana State University-Great Falls College of Technology.

With the increase in offerings of online classes comes the challenge of providing academic support to those students. Distance students are often left to their own devices when an online tutoring program is not available to them. Delisa Clampitt will share details about how you can use Adobe Connect to facilitate online tutoring sessions using your own staff. Learn how to connect with your distance students and provide them with the support necessary to achieve their academic goals from someone who has built an online program from the ground up. Clampitt is the coordinator of the learning center at MSU-Great Falls College of Technology where she has devised and implemented an online program that allows her staff to provide stellar online assistance to students without compromising the program’s integrity.
