Board of Trustees Names Officers

At its meeting last evening, the MCC Board of Trustees elected Lori VanDusen to serve as chair and Richard Guon to serve as vice chair of the board. Nancy Price was named secretary to the board.

Ms. VanDusen is a senior vice president and Consulting Group director at Smith Barney, Inc. A past president of the Association of Professional Investment Consultants, she was recognized in 2005 by Barron’s as one of the top 100 wealth advisors in the country; in 2004, Research magazine named her and her local team as one of the top five wealth advisory groups in the country. She is a graduate of the Wharton School’s distinguished Certified Investment Management Analyst program. Ms. VanDusen received her master’s degree from Harvard University and graduated with a bachelor’s degree, magna cum laude, from Ithaca College. She has served on the MCC Board of Trustees since 1999, as vice chair since 1999, and as acting chair since August 2005.

Mr. Guon is the owner of a McDonald’s restaurant in Penfield. A past owner of seven McDonald’s restaurants, he is a founding board member of the Ronald McDonald House and the Rochester Ronald McDonald Children’s Charities. Guon chairs the board of the Rochester Broadway Theatre League, is treasurer of the Monroe County Water Authority Board, and a member of the MCC Foundation board of directors and the Rochester Rotary.  He is president of the Rochester McDonald’s Operators Association. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Northern Illinois University. He has served on the board since 1998 and as chair of the Finance and Facilities Committee since 1998.

As you know, Ms. Price is my executive secretary and she has served the Board of Trustees since 1991.

Please join me in supporting Ms. VanDusen and Mr. Guon in their new roles.
