The Upward Bound Program welcomes Gwendolyn Bell (Gwen) as its new program advisor. Gwen is responsible for advising program students and assisting with the coordination of the program’s math and science services and activities.
She returned to the Rochester area last year after successfully teaching Technology Education in Maryland. She also worked as a substitute teacher at Grover Cleveland High School in Buffalo. She has years of experience working with at-risk and economically-disadvantaged youth from very diverse communities. Gwen’s experience in developing strong community partners and curriculum writing will definitely be an asset to the Upward Bound program.
