Road Construction Planned for Route 15A Over 1-390, Near MCC's Brighton Campus

The New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) will be undertaking a preventive bridge maintenance project beginning later this summer through fall 2017 on a number of structures across the region. Generally, the work will consist of treating deteriorated bridge joints and decks, as needed. Detailed traffic control plans, including time restrictions, staging and other measures to minimize inconvenience have been incorporated into the contract plans.  The project listed below is near MCC’s Brighton Campus and is expected to impact highway travel. Once a contractor is secured and a construction schedule is developed, NYSDOT will have more details to share. Until then, NYSDOT wants you to have the information for this planned work in order to plan accordingly.

Route 15A over I-390 in Henrietta

Route 15A (East Henrietta Road) over Interstate 390, just south of Jefferson Road is one location we want to bring to your attention.  Work on this bridge will be done one side at a time. One lane of traffic will be maintained in each direction. However, there will be impacts accessing I-390 during each stage. Entrance ramps serving Route 15A to I-390 will be closed in at various times depending on the side of the bridge being repaired.  The posted detour for  I-390 South will direct motorists to Jefferson Road to Hylan Drive to enter I-390. The posted detour for  I-390 North will direct motorists to the Jefferson on-ramp. We anticipate a work zone at this location for two to three months.  This work would occur in the 2016 and 2017 construction seasons.

If you have any questions, please contact NYSDOT.
