Admissions Office In-Service Open House for Faculty and Staff

New Student Enrollment – Vision 2015

The Admissions Office will be hosting an in-service open house in early December.  This professional development opportunity will be for all teaching faculty and professional staff who would like to become familiar with:

Admissions functions such as: Application processing, Call Center intake, Inquiry Management, the Transfer Credit process, International Student application process, as well as on and off campus recruitment.

New Student Enrollment Trends over the last decade
Environmental factors that will make meeting New Student Enrollment Goals more challenging (particularly as we approach 2012 and beyond).

Briefly explore the college-wide impact if we had an enrollment shortfall of 2-3% in the future.  (This scenario is difficult to imagine while we are experiencing record breaking enrollment, but is a realistic possibility.)

Most importantly, we will share some suggested areas of improvement relative to attracting and yielding future new students so that a potential shortfall is minimized.

In developing a comprehensive list of suggested new enrollment initiatives or areas of improvement, I am asking for college-wide input.  Please consider two thought provoking questions:

Has our history of enrollment success, coupled with limited resources, contributed to complacency in some of our processes and student interactions?

How can we better demonstrate student success as our highest priority?

Please send any feedback relative to maximizing new student enrollment to <"mailto:Vision2015@monroecc.edu">.

I hope you can join us at our upcoming Admissions in-service open house.  More information will follow regarding date and time.
