MCC will host the STARLINK Satellite Conference entitled "Classroom Strategies for Promoting Critical Thinking/Problem Solving" scheduled for Wednesday, December 1 from 2:30-4:00 p.m. in room 3-115. In response to many faculty requests, STARLINK has assembled a nationally-renowned panel to present successful, research-based strategies for teaching students to think critically. Presenters are Dr. Diane Halpern, President, American Psychological Association, Director, Berger Institute for Work, Family, and Children, and Professor of Psychology, Claremont McKenna College. Halpern's recent work has included finding ways to apply learning principles to enhance critical thinking skills.
