Classroom Scheduling for Summer 2015


Have you looked at your classrooms for summer?  Please do not assume you will be in a room “you have always been in” or that I know of your previous “arrangement with Deb Benjamin.”  In my short time here, I have been working hard to familiarize myself with the campus and department’s needs vs wants.  Some buildings work better for you but I will not know that until you check your room assignment.

Remember, rooms roll from like term to like term. Therefore, wherever that section was taught for Summer 2014, that will be the room assignment for Summer 2015.  Also, rooms, furniture, and equipment do change from time to time.  Lastly, I am not a teacher (thank goodness for students) so I do not know the equipment well like you do.  Please make sure to be specific in the equipment you need.

Ask yourself:
Are you teaching a course in Summer 2015?
Is your course in a room which meets your needs?

I am looking for is the room feature you are requiring.  What do you need in a classroom in order to be successful?  What do your students need?

All I need to make a room change is:  

* Course
*  CRN (located right next to the course on the Master Schedule Listing)
*  What kind of room you need – again, I should stress – what kind of room features are you looking for? (document camera, white board, smart board, etc…)
*   Do you know what you are teaching for summer yet? If so, let me know your room needs now!
