Julie White, Assistant Director, Student Services, Damon City Campus, recently participated in a focus group sponsored by the U.S. Department of Justice's Office on Violence Against Women. The focus group discussed how to meet the needs of Deaf survivors of domestic violence, dating violence, stalking and sexual assault. She was selected to participate in this project based on her experience and research on the needs of victims who are Deaf, and her efforts to improve existing practices. The results of the focus group will be used to inform future efforts of the Office on Violence Against Women.
