Sherry Tshibangu to Serve as Northeast Regional Membership Chair for NACCE


Sherry Tshibangu, assistant professor of business administration and economics and director of MCC’s Emerging Entrepreneurs Scholarship Program, has been elected to serve on the membership committee of the National Association for Community College Entrepreneurship (NACCE). The committee is responsible for growing membership, maintaining healthy relationships with new and existing members, actively seeking better ways to serve its members as well as crafting membership policies and values.

Tshibangu will serve a two-year term as chairperson for NACCE’s Northeast Region. NACCE supports entrepreneurship education and entrepreneurial leadership at the community college level. For more information, visit "

On March 16, Tshibangu shared her expertise and entrepreneurial experience with members of the Genesee Corridor Business Association. She was invited to participate on a guest panel along with other entrepreneurs and educators to help address the specific needs of small neighborhood businesses in the South West area of Rochester. The panel discussion was sponsored by SCORE (Service Corps of Retired Executives) and the Sector 4 Community Development Corporation.
