March is National Nutrition Month!

March is National Nutrition Month!  This annual campaign was created by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and focuses attention on the importance of making informed food choices and developing sound eating and physical activity habits.  The theme for 2015 is “Bite into a Healthy Lifestyle,” which encourages everyone to adopt eating and physical activity plans that are focused on consuming fewer calories, making better food choices and getting daily exercise in order to achieve and maintain a healthy weight, reduce the risk of chronic disease and promote overall health.

Sodexo is proud of their new Mindful options being offered in the MCC Marketplace.  This new direction balances three components of wellness:  eating, living, and community, and supports them with healthful activities for the body, mind, and spirit.  The website,
https://mindful.sodexo.com, will engage you on topics that matter most for overall wellbeing.  Social media, technology tools, and group activities make the Mindful website friendly and fun, and continues to encourage you to make small lifestyle changes on your journey toward wellness.
