MCC Alumni Week golf tournament to honor Tom Proietti, establish new scholarship


This year’s annual Alumni Week golf outing, part of MCC’s Alumni Week and Homecoming 2009 festivities, will highlight Professor Tom Proietti’s (VaPA) commitment to MCC students and service to Rochester. MCC alumni, friends and colleagues of Tom Proietti are invited to participate in the tournament and/or attend the luncheon to help establish a new student scholarship in Proietti’s name at the Monroe Community College Foundation.

Lakeshore Country Club, 1165 Greenleaf Road, Rochester
Tickets: $90 includes golf, cart, lunch and contribution toward a new scholarship in Professor Proietti’s name; for non-golfers: $40, includes lunch and a scholarship contribution.

“Everybody knows I call my students pups,” said Proietti, “so I nicknamed the golf outing 'Putts for Pups. Over 25 years at MCC, I've taught probably 10,000 students and I always measure my success by theirs,” he says. “When I look at the list of my alumni and see the great things they have gone on to do, it’s spectacular.”
