Learning Styles and More

Please join us on April 6 or 7 at the Teaching & Creativity Center for a conversation on learning styles and on how to get your students to think like a scientist or mathematician or historian or a professional in whatever discipline you teach.

Roberta Davis of the Psychology Department will facilitate the conversation, which will focus on chapters 6 and 7 in Daniel T. Willingham’s book
Why Don’t Students Like School? A Cognitive Scientist Answers Questions about How the Mind Works and What It Means for Your Classroom.

The first conversation will be from noon to 12:50 p.m. on April 6; the second will be from 3:30 to 4:20 p.m. on April 7. Both will be held in the TCC, Room 315 of the LeRoy V. Good Library.

To RSVP to either event, please visit

A few copies of the book remain. If you would like a copy, follow this link to the TCC website, or email
