Monroe Community College Foundation President Brenda Babitz was among the three winners of the 2007 CASE Communfund Institutionally Related Foundation awards whose names were published in the April 2007 issue of BriefCASE, the newsletter of the Council for Advancement and Support of Education.
Babitz will be joined by two other widely respected leaders in foundation fundraising who will receive the award on April 18 at the CASE IRF Conference in San Diego. The other winners include Leslie D. Bram, associate vice president and chief operating officer of the University of Florida Foundation; and F. Duke Perry, retired president and chief executive officer of West Virginia University Foundation.
Institutionally related foundations are private, nonprofit corporations that cultivate and manage private resources to support the missions of colleges, universities, and the university systems with which they are affiliated.
The annual awards are underwritten by Commonfund, a nonprofit corporation with more than 1,600 members and $37 billion in assets under management.
