Former Coach Britton Honored by NSCAA, William Smith College

Former MCC women's soccer coach Tracey Britton has received accolades from both the National Soccer Coaches Association of America and William Smith College for her contributions as a player and coach.

Britton was given the Charlie Lee NISOA Merit Award at the NSCAA's annual convention in January.  The award is presented to a person who has made significant contributions to National Junior College Athletic Association women's soccer.

Britton coached the Lady Tribunes for nine years, compiling an incredible overall record of 171 wins, 12 losses, and nine ties.  She led MCC to national championships in 2001, 2004, and 2005.

William Smith Athletics and the Heron Society have selected Britton to receive the Joan Hinton Hurd ’65 Lifetime Athletic Achievement Award.  The award will be presented at the Heron Hall of Honor reception on March 27, 2010.

This award recognizes William Smith graduates for outstanding lifetime athletic achievement.  Established in October 2002, it is given to a person who garnered athletic distinction as an undergraduate and throughout her lifetime.
