MCC alumna Sonia McNitt won first place in the 2011 essay contest sponsored by the New York State Society of Radiologic Sciences. Her entry was entitled ”Virtual Colonoscopy: Advancing Technology to Improve the Patient Experience." Alumna Jennifer Abbott walked away with the third place prize for her entry entitled “Imaging A Silent Killer: Abdominal Aortic Aneurysms” Sonia and Jennifer are May 2011 graduates and are employed by Borg & Ide Imaging and Rochester General Hospital respectively.
Students Branden Bartlett, Michael Falconio and Ellen Schild won second place in the NYSSRS quiz bowl competition in Corning on November 5. The team was sponsored by the MCC Radiology Club and the MCC Campus Center. Branden, Michael and Ellen will graduate May 2012.
