HSMI to Receive Additional Grant Funding

The Homeland Security Management Institute has been awarded another grant of $15K from the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center to continue offering training and education through the Community Preparedness Schoolhouse project. The program is a component of the Strategic Bio-Defense Emergency Operations and Communications System sponsored by the Pennsylvania National Guard. The project is designed to improve the preparedness of communities for natural and man-made disasters through the education of the public within the private, public and military sectors. According to the grant, HSMI was selected  because of their expertise in providing sophisticated, community-based education.
