Model United Nations at Monroe Community College earned an honorable mention last Saturday on the floor of the official UN General Assembly in New York City. MCC's Model UN team represented the Republic of Croatia in the 2007 National Model United Nations Conference – the largest of its kind in the world.
This year’s delegates were students Alex Bickel, James Gibbs, David Ladwig, Elizabeth del Valle, Whitney McClary, Sean Meyers, Steve Monna, Michelle Mulley, Kathleen O’Connor, Rachel Pazda, Katsiaryna Pleshankova and Casandra Schisler. Faculty advisors Lou Andolino, Tracy Archie, Shirley Batistta-Provost, Don Beech and Louis Silvers co-presented a seminar entitled “From a Club to a Class: The MUN Program at Monroe Community College.”
