Students from adjunct Assistant Professor Lesley Shakespeare-Brogan's class, HED 209-004 Drugs & Behavior, will be working to present a Service Learning informational display/presentation at the Damon City Campus, 4th floor Atrium April 27th and 29th from 12:00 to 3:00pm in honor of Sexual Awareness Violence Month.
This presentation aims to raise awareness of domestic violence as well as substance use and abuse and how the two correlate and perpetuate each other. Students are prepared to bring attention to the incidence and symptoms of both issues offering educational and informational materials. There will also be local listings on where help and treatment is available in the Rochester area for domestic violence and substance abuse.
