Demystifying Effective Texbook Use for Your Students!

"I read but I can't remember anything."

"I never read but did well in high school. How much will it help me in college?"

"I look at all of those words and it is overwhelming.  I don't know what to study."

Do your students struggle with how to approach their textbook?  What are the secrets of textbook use that will help your students maximize independent and reflective learning?

The TCC invites you to join colleagues at HELPING STUDENTS LEARN EFFECTIVE TEXTBOOK USE, an interactive workshop based on this year's theme, Helping Students Learn How to Learn.  Renee Dimino (ESOL/TRS) will guide participants in the creation of text-specific materials and quick strategies that will help students understand how to use and relate to their textbooks.

All faculty, including adjunct faculty, are welcome. No RSVP is required.

When:        This Wednesday, March 9, from 3:00 - 4:20pm

Where:       Brighton TCC (12-201)
