MONDAY, MAY 3 and FRIDAY, MAY 14
NOTES UPGRADE
Attention all SLN and CourseSpace instructors – THIS IS YOUR LAST OPPORTUNITY TO ATTEND A NOTES 6 UPGRADE DEMONSTRATION. Throughout the spring semester we have been upgrading your Notes client software to version 6, which provides added capability and stability. If you haven’t upgraded yet, plan on attending one of these scheduled Brown Bag Lunch Sessions to receive your copy of the software and view a demonstration of the installation and an overview of the new features. Facilitated by Randy Rezabek, ETS Instructional Technologies.

WEDNESDAY, MAY 5
WIRELESS HOTSPOTS ON CAMPUS
This Brown Bag Session will cover information on the Wireless HotSpots around campus. We will explain the differences between the wireless standards 802.11a/b/g and will demonstrate how you can access the Internet and M:Drive using your wireless laptop in these HotSpots. Also, if you are thinking of purchasing wireless for your department ETS can recommend the 802.11x standard and the equipment you will need to purchase. Facilitated by James Clement, ETS Communications and Network Services.

FRIDAY, MAY 7 and WEDNESDAY, MAY 19
MY FACULTY ACCOUNT
Attention SLN instructors: Are you dealing with too many email accounts? Come to this exciting Brown Bag Session and learn the BRAND NEW way to forward the email from your SLN email account to another account (aka your primary email account). SLN has just created a new feature on the Faculty Center, labeled “My Faculty Account.” Several items have been gathered from other locations and are now centralized to make your SLN life EASIER, the best of which is how to forward your SLN email. In 50 short minutes you can learn some hands on, real life shortcuts.  Take advantage and simplify your SLN life! Facilitated by Martha Kendall, ETS Instructional Technologies.
