Thank You!

The Peer Mentors want to say a special thank-you to both staff and students for the generous donation of children's books for our book drive. We have been able to get over 200 books to the children at Martin Luther King, PS School No.9 in the city of Rochester. Both administrators and teachers have commented on the positive value of these books and their encouragement to get the children to read.

We still need more books! If you are cleaning out your closets and clearing off your bookshelves and not sure what to do with those Dr. Seuss and Curious George books from your childhood we would be happy to make sure that they will get into the hands of the students. All we ask is that the books be gently used and not falling apart.

If you are contemplating giving to someone less fortunate as part of your holiday gift giving, may we suggest thinking about donating a brand new children's book to our drive. ALL BOOKS DONATED WHETHER NEW OR GENTLY USED WILL BE GIVEN TO A CHILD AT THE SCHOOL.

You can drop off any books to the Peer Assistance Resource Center bldg 1 room 108 between the hours of 8- 4pm Monday - Friday. Again, the Peer Mentors thank you all for your help in our efforts!
