Library Spring 2006 Lecture Series

The MCC Libraries are pleased to announce that the LeRoy V. Good Library will be hosting several exciting lectures for the spring 2006 semester. We are also delighted to announce that our lecture series, initiated in fall 2005, now has an official title: The MCC Libraries’ Illuminations Lecture Series. Illuminate is defined as “to enlighten intellectually or spiritually; enable to understand.” We hope that you will join us for at least one of our lectures and that you find the experience not only enjoyable but illuminating.

February 15, 12:00 to 1:00: Susan Ferrari-Rowley, “An Artistic Life and Process”

March 10, 12:00 to 1:00: Kevin White, “Understanding the Creation Story of the Iroquois”

March 22, 12:00 to 1:00: Perry Ground, “Storytelling in the Haudenosaunee (Iroquois) Tradition: The World on Turtles' Back and Other Native American Stories”

April 5, 12:00 to 1:00: Jim Mulcahy, “Life after Loss: Dealing with Grief”

All lectures will be held on the fourth floor of the Library, outside of room 2-440.
